November Is Veterans Appreciation Month in Region 8
Veteran’s Day is always on November 11, a day set aside to honor our Veterans. It is our veterans who have stood in the gap to preserve the quality of life we enjoy in these United States.
This year, UAW Region 8 is declaring the entire month of November as Veteran’s Month. “We appreciate and support our veterans,” UAW Region 8 Director Tim Smith states. “We begin every regional conference by recognizing our veterans. We want to expand our thank you to this group by designating November as Veterans Appreciation Month. Each day this month we will recognize a different veteran from throughout our region on our website and social media. We appreciate and thank all who have served.”
Check back daily to see you our veteran of the day is! Thanks to UAW Region 8 Staff member Amanda Goins for heading up this effort. |
