Local 1590 Hold Back To School Party
Local 1590 members, active and retired took part in the annual back to school picnic at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind. The West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (WVSDB) were established by an Act of the Legislature on March 3, 1870. The School for the Deaf and the School for the Blind offer comprehensive educational programs for hearing impaired and visually impaired students respectively. There is also a unit for deafblind and multi handicapped children.
The Local 1590 back to school picnic is a long-standing tradition that makes all of hearts so full. President Brian Aaron’s big ole UAW hat and pickle pushing skills. Plus, Kenny Collinson’s baked bean portions were a few of laughs we will all remember.
A Huge thank you to all the staff that continue to allow us to spread a little bit happiness in their school. We will see you all in December… maybe even with Santa in tow! |
