Alabama Tennessee State CAP
Support Families of AES Explosion
On October 10, 2025, an explosion occurred at the Accurate Energetic Systems manufacturing plant in Humphreys County, Tennessee. The explosion killed 16 people and injured four more. The facility manufactured and stored highly explosive material for the Department of Defense. The explosion was so powerful, that doorbell cams 20 miles away recorded the vibration and sound.
Naturally, the incident devasted the community, particularly the families of the ones who lost loved ones. The town of Bucksnort has been dealing with the tragedy over the last three months.
Members of the Alabama Tennessee CAP decided to do something to support the grieving families of the AES explosion. The Alabama Tennessee State CAP organized a Clay Pigeon shooting tournament. “The event raised over $50,000 for the families of the victims,” stated Region 8 Representative Mike Maddox. “Hopefully this money can help the families of the victims who are still dealing with this tragic loss.” |
