Region 8 Participates In Nashville Labor Day Parade

Nashville held their Labor Day Parade on Saturday, September 6, 2025, hosted by the Central Labor Council of Nashville. A little rain didn’t damper the spirits, as a large crowd turned out for the activities. The parade kicked off at 10:00 AM on Broadway, and ended up with a picnic at the Hall of Fame Park. A number of Middle Tennessee local unions participated, including several UAW Locals. Region 8 Director Tim Smith was on hand to join in the festivities. 

Local 1853 Retiree Veteran’s Committee was presented with the Eddie Bryant Giving Back Service Award by the Central Labor Council of Nashville. Local news coverage from Channel 4 included an interview with Region 8 Director Tim Smith.
