Local 3064 Supports Local Sheriff’s Department Pink Patch Project

Local 3064 recently made a difference in their community by raising money for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Pink Patch Project. The Pink Patch Project is a movement at police departments across the country to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. Originating in 2013 with the Seal Beach Police Department in Southern California who wore pink patches on their uniforms during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The idea grew and now hundreds of departments across the country participate.

Local 3064 worked with the Quilt Shop of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, raffling off a quilt. The effort raised $1364 and was matched by the Dana Corporation for a $2729 donation to the local sheriff’s department for use in their breast cancer awareness.

Great job Local 3064!
