Financial Officers Training New Orleans, Louisiana

The annual International UAW Financial Officers Conference is currently being held in New Orleans, Louisiana. This conference provides training for financial officers at all levels on the International Union.

Over the past couple of years the UAW has adopted a number of bookkeeping reforms as a safeguard against the possibility of wrong doing. These new practices and procedures are being taught to the participants of the conference.

“Region 8 has 125 participants at the conference,” states Assistant Director Tim Smith. “It is good to see them all working so hard learning these new procedures to insure the integrity of our financials. The financials officers are the stewards of the membership’s funds and it is an important job.”
