Labor Community Services reaches out to agencies and cities to assist in putting these public assistance events in local parks, community services centers and churches, and also helps with local public announcements to families. UAW Locals in Western States volunteer to distribute food boxes containing basic items such as vegetables, non-perishable canned foods, milk, eggs, fruit, hand sanitizers, and at times diapers and children’s clothing which families can select by age and size
