Local 862 Bikes or Bust Campaign Huge Success
The 5th Annual Bikes or Bust event was held at UAW Local 862, Louisville Assembly Plant (Ford) union hall in Louisville from November 19th to November 23, 2020.
New bicycles were donated from the Louisville community, and were collected for the Toys for Tots program. All bikes collected go to children in need within the Louisville and southern Indians region.
Local radio personality “Gator Glass” broadcast from a raised scissor lift in the Local 862 parking lot, to bring attention to the event.
2,123 bikes were donated this year-great job Louisville community!!
“This year we have to socially distance from each other, but we’re not going to socially distance from our community,” said UAW Local 862 president Todd Dunn and Metro United Way labor liaison Tim Sanders.
