Florida Election and Voting Information

Dear Sisters, and Brothers,

I hope everybody is doing well, and still taking all necessary precautions to stay safe. Hopefully, by early next year we will have an effective vaccine, and be able to resume some activities.

Voting Begins in Florida

Mail ballots will be mailed out starting today, continuing through September 30th.

Counties have a one week period to get them out.

Here are a few reminders:

Voter registration - October 5, 2020 is the last day you can register in Florida for the November 3rd General Election.

You can still request a mail ballot - Mail ballots can be requested up to October 24th.

Sign your ballot return envelope - You must sign in the designated spot for your ballot to be counted!

Mail or drop off early - Make sure you vote soon after receiving your ballot, and either mail it, or drop it off at the Supervisor of Elections designated drop boxes. Do this early to avoid any post office delays.

*** A few reasons to vote by mail:

    - It's safe, no reason to risk your health at the polls.

    - It;s secure, either mail it, or drop it off.

    - Avoid long lines at the polls, or possible bad weather.

    - You can track your ballot online, when it's received, and when it's counted.

The UAW has endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They will protect our Social Security, and Medicare which is presently under attack.

Stay safe, keep wearing your mask, and we will get through this. We are UAW STRONG!

In Solidarity,

Ray Davis, Chairman
