Local 1590 Day Of Caring Project Improves Historic Cemetery

What a fantastic United Way Day of Caring! With the outstanding help by the Local UAW 1590 Team, we were able to spread an entire load of dirt on the area of the cemetery by East Burke St. We also placed all of the markers that we had found over the years that were not associated with a specific grave. A big step towards our goal of providing education on, and honoring the souls buried in our historic cemetery. Special thanks to Phil Pitsnogle for donating (and dumping) a load of dirt, and for providing the tamper and crew to make sure the dirt was packed. Also, a big thanks to our neighbor, Sheila Yates who graciously let us use her water to mix the concrete.
