Local 1853 Angel Tree Brings Joy For Christmas
by Brian Costantino Local 1853

Angel Tree Program was a huge success at UAW Local 1853 and GM Spring Hill MFG!

This year, we focused on one specific facility for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee, and this was the site located on Wayne Street in Columbia. We provided just about 300 gifts for 150 children this Christmas!

Gathering gifts at the largest GM facility in the country is no small task and we would like to thank all our volunteers this year who helped make this possible.
You can see the happiness and excitement written all over the children’s faces. Ginny Wright, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club, spoke about gratefulness and being thankful. Every child certainly was thankful for what they received. Santa was also in attendance to spread holiday cheer and to make sure all the nice boys and girls got their presents!

We were also very thankful to the membership and salary staff who contributed to this great cause. We would also like to thank Carrika from the Boys and Girls Club for inviting and hosting us at her facility.
The Angel Tree Program at GM continues to be one of the best holiday traditions for our members to give back to the community.

Please stay tuned for more highlights from the Angel Tree Program, and please enjoy the photos that were gathered to highlight the process from start to finish!
