UAW SWFL Retiree Council Meeting May 13, 2025
Happy Easter - Happy Spring!
 
 
We hope everyone had a very blessed Easter Holiday!  Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

Our guest speaker for May will be Jason Kerwin from Memorial Gardens in Ft. Myers.  Jason will be speaking to us on the topic of Burial Preparations and options available to you.  Also, David Ramos will be playing Taps for our fallen veterans commencing on Memorial Day.

Joe will be speaking to you regarding the closing of the office.  As of April 24, 2025, the office will be closing as of July 31, 2025.

Joe will be going to St. Petersburg the first week of May where he will be meeting with Director Tim Smith and Servicing Rep Mark Dowell.  Joe will be giving us an update at the May meeting regarding what the Region will be doing with all the IAC representatives and the closing of the Drop-In Centers.

We received a very nice thank you letter from the Harry Chapin Food Bank related to your very generous donations made each month.

At our September 9, 2025 meeting, the first meeting of the Fall schedule, we will have representatives from United Healthcare and Blue Cross and Blue Shield present to answer your questions.  PLEASE ONLY BRING BILLS PERTAINING TO UHC AND BCBS to the meeting.  NO OTHERS.

If you have any questions for the Executive Board, please ask them at the meeting.  You can address any of the E-Board members with your questions.  We appreciate hearing your questions.

Don't forget, we will be having our annual end of season pizza party after the meeting.

As always, if you have any questions, you may call the office or come into the office, with all your information and we can assist you with your paperwork.  The hours of operation are Wednesday's and Thursday's, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  If you leave a message, please make sure to leave us your name and telephone number so that we can return your call.  This is very important.
