Carter Named Union Plus Scholarship Winner

Dustin Carter of Galax, Virginia was recently named the winner of the Union Plus Scholarship Award under the Union Privilege program sponsored by the AFL-CIO.

“On behalf of the entire UAW family, we are pleased to express our congratulations on your selection as the recipient of the Union Plus Scholarship Award,” stated UAW President Ron Gettelfinger. “Reviewing the summary of your accomplishments, it comes as no surprise that you were so honored. You have obviously worked hard and deserve the award bestowed upon you.

We are also proud to advise you and your family that the UAW will match the scholarship amount of $1,000 to be used for your college education.
