Help Needed With Veteran's Funding

The House and Senate have passed very different bills dealing with funding for veterans' health care. House Republican leaders resisted efforts to substantially increase funding for veterans' health care.

As a result, the bill passed by the House provides $2.3 billion less than the Senate passed bill for health care for our nation s veterans. Take Action! The House and Senate will soon have to conference and iron out the differences between their bills. UAW activists should contact their Representative and Senators and urge them to insist that the House-Senate conferees approve the additional $2.3 billion in the Senate bill for funding veterans' health care.

Tell them that the men and women who risked their lives for our nation deserve adequate health care! UAW activists should call their Representative and Senators on this important issue. Or email your Region 8 Representative and express your thoughts today!
