Can’t Find Union-Made Clothing?
Do Your Shopping On The Internet

Workers across the USA are asking, “Where can we find union-made, American-made garments?”

The Midwest based Union Jean & Apparel Co., organized under the United Food and Commercial Workers union, has an answer. They distribute union-made denim, fleece and twill products, including shirts, jackets, duck-canvas garments, sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweaters and more. All products are union-made and American-made.

The company also signed a collective bargaining agreement to manufacture a unique line of denim novelty and promotional items.

“We want to do the right thing,” said Tripp Godsey, a co-founder and national sales coordinator for the company. “We guarantee our products are union-made. We’re proud of our union label, and we promise to furnish products that give you confidence that you, too, are doing the right thing. You are supporting union workers when you buy these genuine, high-quality American products.”
“Surviving in the union garment business is a real challenge today, and sometimes we feel like David taking on Goliath. The support of people who care about the value of union/American jobs and prove it with their dollar helps buck the dangerous trends that Americans are facing,” said Godsey.
“Our Number 1 challenge is making Americans aware they have an opportunity to buy union. If Americans know, they will come. There is a huge percentage of Americans who want to buy union/American-made. They are growing increasingly frustrated. When they know where to get it, many have demonstrated a will to help keep union-Made garments and jobs in America. Everybody wins”, said Lawson Nickol, co-founder and UFCW member.

Nickol says, “Statistics indicate if every American cared enough to buy just one union-made garment per year, the impact would be nearly $9 billion. That’s an amazing amount of union jobs for just one article of clothing per American.”

Please help. The company intends to supply garment contracts, offer convenient state of art online shopping, assist organizations with their internet needs and offer a direct order catalog option for individuals.
