UAW WINS AGAIN – A NEW DAY AT DANA Under the new partnership agreement between the UAW
and Dana Corporation, employees at Dana’s Buena Vista, Virginia
plant overwhelmingly supported the UAW on Monday, September 15, 2003. The employees met with Vice President Bob King and Region 8 Director Gary Casteel, who gave presentations for the UAW. The 285 eligible employees located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, maybe the most beautiful plant location in Region 8, manufacture axles for the F-250 and F-350 Ford trucks. Temporary local union organizers leading the way were:
Harvey Durham – Local 1621 and Ken Brewer – Local 737. Also
assisting were Kim Capers – Local 919, Curtis Inge – Local
919, Buddy Maxwell Jr. – Local 5841, Lynn Bazzle – Local
5841 and Donna Collins – Local 174. Region 8 welcomes our new brothers and sisters at Dana,
Buena Vista, Virginia. Congratulations!
