Each year the membership of Local 3520 at Freightliner in Cleveland, North Carolina hold what they call “Rolling Thunder Ride for Pride”, where they build a Freightliner truck to honor of nation’s veterans on Memorial Day.

For the past five years, these special trucks have participated in the annual Memorial Day Parade held in Washington, D.C. This year’s special edition truck will leave the Cleveland TMP this weekend, headed for out nation’s capital with a convoy of motorcycles escorting the truck on its way to participate in the parade.

The 2006 “Rolling Thunder Ride for Pride Truck” was built for Harley Davidson and sports the UAW Wheel. It is gloss black and has a board that Veterans from Local 3520 had a chance to sign. According to UAW members at Local 3520, this is the prettiest truck they have seen and will be the prettiest truck on the road this Memorial Day.
Remember FREEDOM is NOT FREE. Take Time to thank a VETERAN for their service.
